The Global Workplace Services team focuses on the global expansion and support of our rapidly growing business. We create spaces and provide services that bring Spotify’s culture and values to life – from designing thoughtful spaces for our employees to thrive, to delivering innovative services that make Spotify a great place to work. GWS covers all aspects and the full life cycle of our buildings and consists of Workplace Innovation & Design, GWS Strategy & Performance, Real Estate, Workplace Build Projects, Facility Management, Workplace IT, Business Protection and Travel.

We are looking for a Workplace Technology Experience Lead to work globally within our Workplace Innovation & Design team and report to our Head of Workplace Innovation & Design in GWS. Our people are our most important asset – our aim in GWS is to listen, involve, and respond in a respectful and inclusive manner, in order to support our employees giving them the best experience possible, wherever they choose to work. In this role you will lead the overall strategic development of the Workplace Technology Experience whether at home or in the office including meeting rooms, receptions, common spaces, elevators, all hands and stages, how we navigate and book spaces or workstations. The aim is to maximize the end user experience and functionality in connection to Workplace Technology in a rational, but future facing manner.

We want to make the experience in the Workplace nothing short of amazing. Whether you are a creator, Spotify band member, visitor, or partner we want everyone who enters our physical spaces to feel connected to Spotify, but also get the sense that we care. Just like when you go to a gig, we want to get the experience right from the moment you book your ticket all the way through the event and then to when you are reminiscing 2 weeks later about it.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the cross-functional development of a seamless, functional, robust, scalable and amazing experience with regards to Workplace Technology together with other functions in GWS and with other internal stakeholders including all our different nodes in our Workplace Network, such as Spotify Offices, Home Offices, Co-working spaces etc.
  • Visit offices to make an evaluation of the current As-Is situation, and work with other teams to define what they would want their offices to offer from functional to aspirational.
  • Create and drive projects and initiatives together with other teams that will elevate our employee’s workday with regards to Workplace Technology wherever they choose to work. These conceptual ideas should be presented with analytical as is, proposed outcome, associated cost and timeline.
  • Making sure the Workplace Technology solutions are fully integrated and aligned with the building’s design, look & feel and layout to secure a cohesive Workplace Experience.
  • Be able to initiate solutions, understanding and driving the full creation of future technologies that suit our business and Work from Anywhere principles – e.g. creating a workplace app to combine workplace bookings or heighten our communication about workplace.
  • Be up to date with developments in the Workplace Technology industry by interacting with external partners and contributing to the development of future solutions.
  • Evaluate, set the plan and ensure operational readiness for changes for each experiential initiative and how it may touch on any parts of GWS.
  • Support the communications plan and integrate alongside the project or initiative communicating proactively in workshops with the stakeholders.
  • Run post-occupancy evaluations and analyze what was successful and could be improved.
  • Develop a data-informed approach, including capturing post occupancy user feedback.
  • Proactively elevate the workplace to ensure that our band members find something unexpected and interesting in their daily routine and how we in GWS could support these programs.

Who you are:

  • 7-10+ years of experience from working with AV and other technology in a Workplace context and possessing knowledge of how people interact with technology and user experience.
  • Have previous experience with initiatives in a fast-paced environment, in large-scale multi-cultural organizations, in multiple countries.
  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional at listening, understanding and evaluating users’ needs and experience.
  • Imaginative and playful – we really want to spark joy in the Workplace and use the space we have. We also want you to ave your finger on the pulse – from the micro to the macro all experiences should shout Spotify!
  • Have a good network to draw on for inspiration and collaboration.
  • A calm organizer who loves to see from the start to the end and is not afraid to push the boundaries of the creativity.
  • Have an eye for detail and compassion for how people are treated. Also able to zoom out and realize the projects that are supported by the GWS team.
  • Have a keen eye on sustainability of systems and be able to make judgements on coordination with existing systems in place.
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel, as needed.
  • Able to hold meetings at any level of the business and able to put together clear presentations.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
