Bach to Rock Redmond is a growing, agile and highly rated music school. This position is for a part-time employee(s) to provide music and performance lessons especially in piano and/or voice, but also other instruments such as guitar. We provide an opportunity to work a flexible part-time schedule in a fun environment with other like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing and other business aspects of the lessons & group classes so that you can focus on teaching.

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums (and other) located at our Redmond (WA) school
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble
• Help students work on performances
• Optional – Teach group lessons or rock bands/ensembles
• Optional – Teach recording arts and/or record sessions in our recording studio on Pro Tools

Requirements:

• Must be able to read music notation and have a good understanding of music theory
• Must possess advanced technique and be able to demonstrate this on their primary instrument(s)
• Effective time management and organizational skills to be on time for lessons and keep students on task
• Comfortable as a performer (either solo or group)
• Ability to be engaging with both children and adults with a variety of personalities
• Ability to pass a background check

B2R offers an hourly rate that is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.
