St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Stanwood, WA is seeking a part-time Choir Director. The Choir Director is responsible for coordinating all liturgical music in the parish, including recruitment of singers and musicians, organizing choir groups, planning and providing music for weekend masses and Holy Day liturgies throughout the year. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collaborates with the Pastor, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish.
• Coordinates the development and implementation of the music program for the parish.
• Selects music appropriate for all weekend, school liturgies and other major parish liturgical celebrations including weddings and funerals.
• Coordinates the schedule of cantors/leaders of song, and choral groups. Schedules practices and assures that accompanists and music are available.
• Aids with parishioners needing music for weddings and funerals. Develops and maintains resource list for organists, soloists, and other musicians available to perform at these functions.
• Ensures appropriate copyright permissions, use fees and licenses have been obtained for all material used in the music program.
