KAMP Music, a non-profit music education and theater arts school, is seeking a part-time salaried music teacher that can teach private lessons to young voice and piano students at our new KAMP@Willows location in Overlake Church in Redmond, WA. Most of the students are between ages 3-12 and are beginners. This position is 12 hours per week, three 4 hour shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-7:30 p.m. High potential for growth into a much larger position. Qualified candidates should have:

**#1!!! Experience working with young children and know how to speak “child”

Education in an ECE setting, preschool, daycare, Sunday School classes, etc.

**Music degree preferred, but we’re willing to train. High School diploma and a piano and voice background required.

**Demonstrated knowledge of child development for kids ages 3-12, knowledge of classroom management techniques for 1:1 situations and groups of 2-3 kids. Experience with a provider of ECE music classes strongly preferred.

**Good communication skills with parents

**Punctual and organized

**Willingness to have regular meetings with the director to improve teaching skills and make sure the Mission Statement of KAMP is being met. Recitals 1-2 times per year, participating in special events.

KAMP is a very collaborative place with teachers all on salaries so we can work together as a team. Our schedule is year round– 48 lessons per year from July 1-June 30 with some time off at Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, Spring Break. You teach 48 weeks per year but are paid 12 equal monthly salaries. We support our teachers with tech assistance, with purchasing materials needed if remote teaching is necessary due to COVID waves and with positive staff interactions frequently.

This position has potential to grow to more days per week. Many KAMP teachers work here 3-5 days per week and have 20-50 students.

Probation period of 90 days so we can both agree we’re a good fit then we’ll offer you a longer term employment offer.
