Teaching: Prek-8th grade
FTE: .6-.75 (depends on time of year)
Responsibilities:

• Teach a curriculum based on national standards;
• Plan/execute a balanced music program and organizes class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time;
• Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each student;
• Utilize repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students;
• Evaluate/report each student’s musical growth, performance, and musical understanding;
• Select appropriate music, books and instructional aids/supplies as necessary;
• Collaborate with the Pastoral Assistant for Music and Liturgy and the middle school music teacher to prepare for the school’s liturgical celebrations;
• Prepare students to sing at school liturgies;
• Collaborate with the directors and teachers in providing musical programs for school assemblies and seasonal programs (Christmas program and spring performance)

Qualifications
The successful candidate will:

• have excellent written and oral communication skills; classroom management and organizational skills
• use technology as needed to instruct, assess and communicate student progress
• desire to continue professional development
• hold a valid teaching certificate or in the process of obtaining a certificate

Statement of Vaccination Requirement – Condition of Employment The Governor’s Proclamation 21-14.2 requires all employees of educational institutions (schools) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious (moral/ethical) exemption is approved. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 – $48.00 per hour
