VACANCY DESCRIPTION: High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a Music Teacher to serve our Madison Campus for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. In 2020 we welcomed students to our newest campus housed in the facilities of New Hope Evangelical Free Church to serve the town of Mount Horeb and the surrounding rural community. Our schools offer safe, caring and Christ-centered environments for grades K-8, as well as 3K and 4K preschool programs at a separate location. HPCS is one of four campuses which makes up Impact Christian Schools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• The teacher shall be a mature, sincere Christ follower who feels called of God to the teaching profession.
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ACSI Certified Teacher.
• State of Wisconsin certified Teacher.
• Three to five years classroom teaching experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Salary – $2,303 – $3,339 per month; commensurate with experience.
• Position as Music Teacher is 1.0 FTE.
