“We are a well resourced, ever growing department boasting a music studio, two computer rooms with notation and DAW software, midi keyboards and a steel pan set to name a few. We have a wide ranging extra curricular provision with several concerts, competitions and a popular school production, in close collaboration with the drama department, every year.”
“During my time at Queens’, I have felt supported throughout both my training and my NQT year. The Music department and the wider collaborative teaching community that support each other for consistency across the school to provide quality first teaching.
My ideas for development are always heard and valued within the Music department, enabling the subject to flourish and develop as a shining star of the school both through the public shows, concerts and presentations that we give, but also as a rigorous academic subject that inspires and develops musical minds.”
