William Paterson University invites applications for the Director of Sound Engineering Arts (SEA) in the Music Department, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences starting September 1, 2024. This full-time position will serve as program director for the SEA program, as well as teach as a non-tenure track faculty member. The position is renewable annually based on satisfactory job performance in the first five years, with opportunities for promotion as well as subsequent longer contracts available based on performance and department need.

We seek a dynamic, collaborative individual who can demonstrate significant teaching and leadership skills in the sound engineering field.

Reporting to the Music Department Chair, the position supports the Bachelor of Music program in Sound Engineering Arts (SEA) as well as the minor in Digital Music Creation and Arranging. In collaboration with the department chairperson, the successful candidate will direct the SEA program, coordinate internships for SEA majors, and teach classes in the program. This position supports the recruitment and retention of a diverse student body in the program.
